Reasons why Asa is been revered as a goddess/queen in the Nigeria music industry.
The entertainment industry is in a age of surplus, where hyper-information and access to everything has broadened people’s taste for music and expanded the horizons of the sounds that humans consume. A consequence of this is that artistes can now access fans directly via social media sharing and digital marketing platforms. This has directly increased competition in the industry, and artists only compete with their music.
A pop artist who takes a break from the circle for music releases for a year, will find himself/herself behind the times. Those who release music with no gimmick still find themselves pushed further behind the curve and lose out.
Clearly nobody waits for anyone. In fact nobody really cares. An artist is only as hot as their last hit song.
But Asa's music has elevated her above this trait as she enjoys her own customized period working on her own projects and drops them whenever she seems it fit. The reason why she’s been revered as a goddess are numerous and definitely uncountable to many out there, but we will try to give the sensational pop act a crisp piece of her cake here.

Now the reasons;
Asa is the only artiste in Nigeria that takes the whole of forever to work on her projects, at the convenience of her time. Nobody rushes her, and nobody pushes her, she does her thing whenever she wants to. This point has been slightly talked about from above, but as light towards which it sound, Asa is the last of the few artiste in Nigeria who still holds prestige to this act. This is more so the reason why she’s famously known as the only musical queen in the country; you can’t take on this lady. She clearly knows how to deliver herself out whenever she’s back from her “wait”. For an Asa album to drop will range possibly from minimum of three to four years. Imagine how many hits and albums someone like Olamide most have dropped during such long stay from music.
Asa is the still the petite singer who can perform a disappearing act off music. The consequence of this, is that she’s totally disentangled herself from anything music to focus more on working on upcoming projects and contents to thrill her fans.
This is evidence to stating the fact that the quality of her sounds and the impact of her brand has afforded her the freedom to embark on her creative projects whenever she wants it. While holding her fans hostage and keeping them thirsty and aghast to catch up with any of her latest works.
Now the major reason that she’s been also referred a queen is because her music is both ethereal and timeless, and is always accepted by fans to be a blessing that was worth waiting for when she thus comes out with a new sound. It took Asa four years to serve new music “Bed of stone”, her previous work was 2010’s “Beautiful imperfection”, and they were all worth the wait. Flash your mind back to songs like “Jailer”, or “Be my man”, you can tell they still hold some form of freshness in them.
Asa Bokula Elemide is a Nigerian French-singer, songwriter, and recording artist. Her stage name "Asa" is pronounced "Asha" in Yoruba. Aṣa is the only female child in the family and had three brothers. At a young age she began to look after the house during her parents’ frequent absences. This is when Aṣa started to sing. She sternly affirms that she’s not quitting music till she marks 80yrs of age, means one thing, that there will be definitely be more sensations on board while she will maintain her crown still; the queen of the Nigerian music and protégé of the so many French awards.
